About this Event

Cooking for Life: A Cancer-Support Culinary Experience

Join us for a fun and interactive cooking class demonstrating low-fat, whole-food, plant-based cooking — a powerful, evidence-backed tool in helping to prevent and survive cancer. Through live demonstration, you'll learn how to create healthy, delicious, and beautifully prepared dishes, followed by a full tasting so you can experience the flavors for yourself.

This class is part of the Food for Life program from the , a nutrition education series proven to help improve health outcomes through plant-based eating.

As a special guest, Farmer Pete from Fairgate Farms — an urban farm right here in Stamford, CT — will join us with a huge basket of fresh, farm-grown produce, which we'll raffle off to one lucky attendee. Pete will also share how Fairgate Farms serves as a resource for the Stamford community, including the fresh produce and a pay-what you -can policy.

You'll leave with new skills, and printed recipes to recreate at home — plus a chance to win a fresh produce basket from Fairgate Farms.

Come curious, and get ready to bring healing food into your own kitchen
