About this Event
This in-person session provides a basic introduction to grant applications and is designed for people who have little or no previous experience of applying for grants, or who are relatively new to the process. During the session we will explore some key terminology used by funders and, that are featured in funding applications such as aims, inputs and outcomes, look at the importance of preparation, project planning and demonstrating need. With a maximum of 18 participants, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss the challenges of applying for grants.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Identify different types of funding available to VCSE organisations.
- Understand good practice when planning a project and completing a grant application.
- Recognise common mistakes to avoid when applying for grants.
Places are limited to a maximum of two participants per organisation.
