Always wanted to try Fused Glass Art, or looking for a gift or experience for an Artistic friend?Wendover's Studio D, a Stained-Glass workshop and Gallery, has four places available for a Wed 23 September "Introduction to Fused Glass" workshop. This is an Introduction to the art of Fused Glass where you will create 3 iconic pieces of your own design.
David will demonstrate and lead you through all the stages required to complete these unique pieces; from the: initial design, choosing and cutting your primary glass, choosing accessory glass to enhance the designs, and assembling the pieces for firing. We will also discuss colour combinations, creating texture in the glass both internally and externally, and the use of hand tools and adhesives in preparing glass for firing. No previous experience required. All tools, materials, and equipment provided.
Due to the requirement to fire the pieces after the workshop, delivery/pickup of the pieces will be arranged some 7 days after the workshop.
Session will run from 10 am to 5pm Wed 23 Sep, at Kings Farm, Nash Lee End, Wendover, and costs £95.00 per person. Cost includes tea, coffee, biscuits/cake . Please bring your lunch with you.
