WANT TO PAINT WITH FIRE?This fall, I’m opening up my encaustic studio practice and teaching a series of Beginner Encaustic Workshops at Arts on the Greenway.
If you’ve never tried encaustic, you’re in for something completely different.
We’ll paint with molten beeswax and pigment, build luminous layers, carve and scrape into the surface, create texture—and yes, we’ll use torches.
No encaustic experience needed. No need to consider yourself an artist. Just come ready to experiment, get a little messy, and try something new.
You’ll have four hours to learn, play, and create your own finished encaustic painting to take home.
