✒️ INTRODUCTION TO CALLIGRAPHY – UNCIAL SCRIPT ✨🎨 4-hour workshop with Regula Monnet | 14+
Discover the world of traditional calligraphy through Uncial script, a timeless writing style dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries. Composed entirely of capital letters, it offers a wonderful introduction to calligraphy and allows you to achieve beautiful results, even without prior experience!
🖋️ WHAT TO EXPECT
During this 4-hour workshop, you’ll discover the essential tools and materials of calligraphy and learn to work with a broad-nib pen and ink.
Step by step, Regula will guide you through the Uncial alphabet and its characteristic letterforms. Once you’ve mastered the basics, you’ll explore colors, different tools, and creative techniques to give traditional lettering a modern, personal touch.
✨ No previous experience required! Beginners and those with some experience are equally welcome.
👩🎨 ABOUT THE ARTIST
Regula Monnet has been practicing calligraphy since 1996 and teaching for over 20 years. She is a former co-president of the Swiss Calligraphy Society (SKG) and has trained with calligraphy artists in Switzerland and abroad.
Her expertise ranges from classical calligraphy to hand lettering and experimental techniques. She has collaborated with renowned institutions and brands, including the Beyeler Foundation, Hauser & Wirth, and Caran d’Ache.
Regula’s creative and accessible teaching approach encourages everyone to experiment and leave with their own unique creations.
