Join us for this free workshop where participants will learn all about Council's Bushcare program as well as the basics of bush regeneration, making it a valuable workshop for new and aspiring volunteers or those interested in bush regeneration as a career or hobby.
Attendees will learn:
-About Parramatta's Bushcare Program
-The history of Bushcare
-An introduction to bush regeneration principles
-Site safety
-Common weeds
-W**d management techniques
-Practical skills including W**d identification and using tools for W**d treatment and removal.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided, please provide dietary requirements during registration. Registrations are essential as spots are limited. Toilet facilities and tap water for drink bottle refills will be available.
This workshop is best suited for adults. Any child under 18 who attends must attend in the presence of an adult. Bring a drink bottle, closed shoes and a hat. We recommend dressing in long pants and long sleeved shirt. The practical component of this workshop will involve walking through unpaved bush trails and the use of hazardous tools.
