About this Event
Join us for a fully online, hands-on seminar designed to introduce musicians to music production using Ableton Live. This course is a supportive space for instrumentalists, singers, composers, producers-in-the-making, and anyone curious about using technology to make and shape their own music.
In this seminar we’ll focus on how to build core production skills and confidence with digital tools. Many musicians feel blocked by technology, overwhelmed by software, or unsure how to translate musical ideas into finished tracks, this course is designed to bridge that gap. Whether you’re coming from a classical, jazz, folk, or electronic background; writing songs but not sure how to record them; or already using Ableton but want a clearer foundation, this is a space to learn, experiment, and develop your own workflow.
Perfect for musicians who want to start producing their own tracks, develop home-studio skills, and begin shaping a personal sound.
Dates: Mondays: Feb 9th - March 2nd
Time: 6.30 – 8 PM GMT / 1.30 – 3 PM EST / 10.30 – 12 PM PST

Class Structure
Each session will combine short, focused demonstrations on key production concepts, such as recording, arranging, drum programming, synthesis, and basic mixing, followed by guided practical exercises. You’ll have time in each class to apply techniques directly in Ableton, ask questions, and troubleshoot in real time.
Across the four weeks, you’ll learn to build tracks from scratch, record ideas, structure a piece, program beats, grasp the basics of synthesis, and polish a rough mix. There will also be opportunities to share work with peers, receive constructive feedback, and reflect on how to develop your own aesthetic and creative process. Outside of class, optional discussion spaces and office hours will support continued practice and community learning.
