This beginner-friendly class is a fun, approachable way to learn real skills—no experience needed. Perfect for beginners, or those who've had some time off and want to reconnect with woodworking. And you'll leave the workshop with 2 awesome projects built entirely by you with your new skills!
Join The Collab MakerSpace for a hands-on introduction to woodworking in a relaxed, supportive environment. It's great for date nights, friends, or anyone looking to try something new.
What You’ll Learn
In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll build a strong foundation in:
• Common woodworking tools and how to use them safely
• Different types of wood and how to choose materials
• Measuring, cutting, and prepping your work
• Core woodworking techniques for DIY and creative projects
Hands-On Experience
After a short demo, you’ll jump right into building.
You’ll get guided experience using:
• Table saw
• Miter saw
• Band saw
• Drill + essential hand tools
Take Home Your First Projects
You won’t just learn—you’ll make.
By the end of class, you’ll complete and take home:
• A custom mini wine rack
• A handmade candle holder
You’ll leave with real skills, real confidence, and projects you can actually show off.
