About this Event
Taste of Woodworking - Wood Turned Pen
Learn how to use a wood lathe to turn blocks of wood into art. This one day class is for absolute beginners and will include safety, basic tool selection, tool technique, and tool sharpening. You'll use these skills to design and turn a decorative pen!
This is a two hour class, and our volunteers will be happy to offer a tour of Lansing Makers Network at the end if you would like.
This class is beginner focused and participants are not expected to have prior knowledge of woodworking. The course is open to participants age 16 and over (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult also enrolled in the class).
