About this Event
Learn how to properly operate a sewing machine and make a tote bag. We will cover the basics. This class is designed for absolute beginners.
- How a sewing machine works.
- How to thread a sewing machine.
- Types of stitches.
- Stretch vs Non-stretch Fabrics.
- Make a liner (the inside outs).
- Secure your stitches.
- Curves, Folds, and Straight Lines.
- How to read a pattern.
- Sewing trouble shooting.
We will be using fabric that has been donated to NYC Resistor, but if you would like to bring your own it is encouraged!
