Transform beautiful painted canvases into stunning textured art in this comprehensive, two-part introductory series. Designed for absolute beginners and those returning to the craft, you will progress from understanding raw materials to mastering decorative stitches and project planning.Cost: $45/person for the two-part workshop (each session is two hours). Recommended minimum age: 12+.
The first session will focus on getting you comfortable with your materials and learning the structural rules of needlepoint. We will demystify the choices at the needlework shop so you can start any project with confidence. Everyone receives a starter kit with a small piece of canvas, a tapestry needle, and foundational thread. We will practice the three core stitches together so you leave with a handy reference guide for all future projects.
The second part will give you the chance to take your skills to the next level by making your canvases uniquely yours. This hands-on, interactive session focuses on adding dimension, choosing custom techniques, and launching your first official piece.
