About this Event
Ready to take your riding off the pavement and onto the trails? Join Trailblazers for Intro to Mountain Biking, a beginner-friendly class designed to help you feel more confident and comfortable riding on natural-surface trails.
This class will introduce you to the fundamentals of mountain biking, including bike setup, body position, braking, shifting, cornering, navigating obstacles, and basic trail etiquette. You’ll learn and practice these skills in a supportive environment before putting them together on a guided group ride.
Whether you’re completely new to mountain biking or looking to build confidence on the trails, this class is a great place to start. No previous mountain biking experience is required!
All participants will need to bring a mountain bike and helmet in good working condition. Your bike should have properly inflated tires, functioning brakes, and gears that shift smoothly.

Look for the Trailblazers-branded truck to meet with the rest of the class. We’ll get on the greenway and ride about ½ mile to our practice skills area. Please arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can promptly start class at 10:00 AM.
