Intro to Florals & BotanicalsA 3-Hour Watercolor Workshop
Love the idea of joining one of my multi-week workshops, but have a hard time committing to several weeks? This workshop was created especially for you! Or maybe you've attended and just need to brush up on the basics again.
In this three-hour introduction to watercolor florals and botanicals, we’ll pack plenty of hands-on instruction into one afternoon. We’ll start with simple brushstrokes and learn how to use the shape and movement of your brush to create leaves, petals, and flowers. From there, we’ll explore color mixing, how to understand the direction and shape of petals, and some of my favorite tricks and shortcuts for creating beautiful, natural-looking florals without getting caught up in every tiny detail. (HInt: we don't always use brushes)
We’ll put everything together at the end of class to create a finished floral painting you can take home.
This workshop is designed as a shorter introduction for anyone who can’t commit to my longer 2- and 3-week workshops. If you’ve already taken one of my longer-format floral or botanical workshops, you’re absolutely welcome too! Think of this as a fun, concentrated refresher and another chance to practice your floral techniques.
All materials are included. No previous floral-painting experience is necessary.
