About this Event
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Join tattoo artist Bry Simms for a hands-on introduction to traditional flash painting. In this workshop, Bry will guide participants step by step through his process of creating a wildlife-inspired tattoo flash design. From preparing the paper to blending techniques, you’ll learn the fundamentals of watercolour flash painting while completing a design prepared in advance on high-quality paper.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Bry Simms has been tattooing professionally since 2003, beginning with hand poke tattoos in 1999. A lifelong painter, he first worked in acrylics before turning his focus to watercolour tattoo flash in 2010. His style is rooted in traditional tattooing, infused with Canadiana-inspired imagery and shaped by the landscapes of the Bay of Fundy. Bry’s work often draws from local wildlife, rural life, and the natural elements—fog, wind, and red earth—that define the region he calls home.
