Join us for a potluck picnic in the park! We'll eat our snacks, play some games, hang out, and enjoy the last bit of summer. This event is open to everyone, so feel free to bring a friend. Some members of the Exec will arrive a bit early & try to secure a good spot for our group. So, look for us when you arrive at the park.
A few members of the Exec will be waiting outside the main entrance of the CS ITC building (550 Windsor Street) to walk with students to the picnic location. If you are unfamiliar with the Fredericton area then please meet up with those CSA Exec members (who will be wearing CS branded t-shirts) before 1:00 PM and they will guide you to Carleton Park (across the walking bridge).
This event is a potluck, so folks are encouraged (but not required) to bring some food to share with the group. Things that do not require plates or cutlery would be best. Example finger foods that you might bring: crackers, pre-cut cheese, chips, cookies, watermelon slices, etc.
The CSA has a washer toss set, a ladder toss game, and a few assorted balls & frisbees that we will bring. If you have any outdoor games or balls, please bring them with you.
Here are some other suggestions for things that you might bring:
- A water bottle (there is a filling station at the Roundhouse beside the park).
- A blanket (to sit on for the picnic).
- Sunscreen.
NOTE: This is a dry event. Please do not bring alcohol; it is not permitted in the park.

Aside: If the weather is poor (e.g. raining) on Sep. 7, we'll move the picnic to the next Sunday (Sep. 14). If the poor weather persists on Sep. 14, we'll need to reschedule this picnic (as it is an outdoor event). Watch for announcements on the CSA's Facebook page.
