New to 3D CAD? This hands-on, full-day workshop is your fast track into Autodesk Fusion - one of the most powerful and accessible tools for designing parts, products, and assemblies. Whether you're a hobbyist, maker, or creative professional, you'll leave with real skills and real files you built yourself.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
We'll start with a guided tour of the Fusion interface so you feel at home before you ever touch a tool. From there, you'll spend most of the day in the Design workspace, working through a series of hands-on projects that introduce:
- Parametric part design and how to use the parameter table
- Sketching, extrusion, and core modeling tools
- Design for specific manufacturing processes (3D printing, CNC, etc.)
- Working with text and engraving
- Lofted forms and organic shapes
- Configurations for creating part families
- Single-part and multi-body / multi-part assemblies
Time permitting, we'll take a tour of the Manufacturing workspace to introduce CAM concepts, setups, and toolpaths.
WHAT TO BRING
A laptop with Autodesk Fusion installed (free or paid subscription - see below), or use a Makerspace computer
Your curiosity - no prior CAD experience required
AUTODESK FUSION SUBSCRIPTION
Fusion is available as a free personal-use license or as a paid subscription. You can sign up at autodesk.com/fusion before class so you're ready to go.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS:
Class size limited to 6 students. Minimum 3 students. We reserve the right to cancel the class if we do not have a minimum amount of students so please purchase your tickets early. If we cancel, we will refund you in full and notify you. You may cancel and get a refund up to three days before the class. After that, refunds are contingent on us being able to fill your seat. Under no circumstances do we offer refunds to individuals who cancel on the same day. If you cancel, please note that Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.
