ABOUT THE TALK & ART WORKSHOP
For the third installment of INTERPRETATIONS, Cynthia Francillon turns the portal inward, centering her own paintings as the artwork to be interpreted. Walk through sixteen months of work made in the pursuit of becoming whole. Then sit for a salon-style conversation on what it takes to lose the false self, and the quiet, intimate repair of building a relationship with yourself and your creative voice again, without the noise. What it costs to break ground on a new life, when the world keeps asking you to conform to the old one.
From there, pick up oil pastels (otherwise known as adult crayons) and create your own interpretation of what a full, capable life looks and feels like: your own garden, in whatever shape it wants to take. We'll lay the work on the table, walk the room gallery-style, and close with a show-and-tell on what moved each of us to make what we made."
