Poetsgiving: “YOUlogies- Art That Gives Back” is a powerful multidisciplinary showcase of artistic tributes to those currently battling cancer, those who have survived it, and those who continue to live within its shadow. Each work will be created in the likeness of a person whose journey has been shaped by it.
This event is the 2nd part of a 3-part fundraiser intended to raise awareness in the necessary fight against cancer.
The YOU-logies Showcase brings commissioned works to life through spoken word, poetry, film, live music, visual art, and dance. More than portraits, these are poetic interpretations that allow audiences to experience the stories beyond the canvas. Dance serves as the connective language throughout the evening, bridging performances and creating moments of reflection, celebration, and hope.
Through shared stories, vulnerability, and lived experience, the artist will translate these connections into expressions that become YOUlogies-- not a eulogy of a life that has ended, but instead a celebration of a life that continues to be lived, witnessed, and honored.
