About this Event
The International Poetry Forum is pleased to present a reading by Robert Hass, former U.S. Poet Laureate, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, MacArthur "Genius" Grant, and National Book Award, and Brenda Hillman, winner of the International Griffin Poetry Prize, Guggenheim Fellowship, and William Carlos Williams Award. Two of the most celebrated poets in the country, Hass and Hillman will read original poetry and translations at Pittsburgh's historic Carnegie Lecture Hall.
This free event is presented in partnership with Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.
About Us
Founded in 1966, the Pittsburgh-based International Poetry Forum is a nonprofit organization that has hosted readings and educational programs by more than 800 poets and performers from 50+ countries. Alumni of our reading series include legends like Seamus Heaney, Gwendolyn Brooks, Mary Oliver, Chinua Achebe, Kurt Vonnegut, Grace Kelly, Gregory Peck, James Earl Jones, and Queen Noor of Jordan.
