Young people are an essential part of South Africa’s future. However, preparing them for leadership requires more than encouraging words. It requires access to positive role models, relevant information, practical skills, supportive relationships and opportunities to participate meaningfully in society.International Men’s Day will provide a platform for young people to interact with men who can share their experiences of overcoming challenges, navigating responsibilities, building careers, developing enterprises and contributing to their communities.
The event seeks to help young people understand that responsible leadership begins with everyday decisions: how they treat others, how they respond to challenges, how they manage their responsibilities and how they use their talents to serve a greater purpose.
