In this intermediate wheel throwing workshop, you'll tackle one of pottery's most satisfying challenges — centering a large mound of clay (minimum 5 lbs!) and transforming it into a functional, beautiful chip & dip bowl.Over two hours, you'll work with significantly more clay than most standard projects require as you build a wide, generous bowl with a raised center well — perfectly designed for your favorite dip surrounded by chips, veggies, or whatever you're snacking on. This is a great opportunity to push your skills further, get comfortable with larger forms, and make something you'll actually use and show off.
What's included: Clay, tools, studio use, firing, and 2 hours of open studio time
Skill level: Intermediate — students must be completely comfortable centering clay independently and maintaining centered, controlled walls throughout the throwing process.
