An intermediate level class where students continue in the craft of stained glass in the copper foil technique. Students are invited to select or develop their own panel pattern of any size* or difficulty. Students are required to purchase their own glass** and to begin collecting their own basic hand tools***. 4 Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 8:00 pm (10 hours total). November 3, 10, 17, 24 - Attendance of all four dates recommended (other day/times during normal operation hours can be substituted as long as there is no conflict with other workshops) . The completion of the beginner level class is required as a prerequisite. Recommended 16yrs and older. Ages 12 - 16 years must be accompanied with an adult. Room will be shared with beginner students. Call if no seats remain.*Projects over 2 square feet will require a financial contribution to solder and copper foil consumption.
** Glass can be purchased elsewhere or from the Gallery on Gambier (prices vary) - one square foot panel will typically consume $20 - $30 of glass.
*** Basic hand tools include glass cutter, breaker/grozer pliers, and running pliers - about $60. These can be purchased from the Gallery on Gambier or elsewhere.
