Intermediate Salsa On1/Rueda de Casino with Michel and LucieYou are invited to bring your indoor shoes, your smile and have some fun!
Intermediate Salsa On1 is designed for dancers who are comfortable with the basic steps and turns and are ready to expand their skills. You’ll learn more challenging partnerwork, combinations, lead-and-follow techniques, musicality, body movement, and styling while building confidence on the dance floor. Participants should already know the basic salsa timing and fundamental turns.
In Rueda de Casino, couples experience the fun and energy of Cuban-style salsa danced in a circle! While responding to calls made by the instructor, switching partners throughout the dance. This lively, social class teaches authentic Cuban Casino salsa, group figures, partner changes, musicality, and teamwork. Rueda is a fantastic way to improve your dancing while enjoying a welcoming group atmosphere.
Prerequisite: Completion of a beginner salsa course or equivalent experience dancing salsa On1.
No partner required. Participants rotate partners throughout the class, making it easy to learn, practice, and connect with other dancers.
