The Inter Faith week theme this year is 'Lighting the Way for a Shared Future' to celebrate the diversity within our communities. This year we will be starting at the The Stadium of Light, we will then walk over Keel Crossing making stops at St Mary' Church and the Sunderland Minster then onwards to the Sikh Gurdwara on Stockton Road, with a light lunch, then walk to Backhouse Park observing the former Sunderland Synagogue and finally, we will visit Sunniside to see new and old community spaces.It's a great way to meet new people, experience different cultures and share our collective desire for peace in our community and world. If you can bring a head covering for the Sikh temple, that helps. Please ensure you also do not bring tobacco or alcohol products (including vapes) on the walk.
