Victorian civic cemeteries are the last resting place of people from many different faith communities. Join us for an interfaith event will explore the burial rituals, traditions, and prayers of diverse beliefs in Canterbury City Cemetery.
Highlights of the day:
- 2-3pm. Interfaith walk. The one-hour walk will proceed at a gentle pace and will include standing at several stops.
- 3-3.20pm. Interfaith prayer. A non-denominational prayer will be shared in the community chapel; all faiths are welcome.
- 3.20-4pm. Refreshments. Beverages and cakes will be available after the prayer. Cash donations for the refreshments will be greatly appreciated, and all proceeds will go directly towards the renovation of the community chapel.
