MAGASIN 4 PRESENTS :INTERCOURSE (US) (Noise Rock / Post Hardcore)
INTERCOURSE, the acclaimed Connecticut noise rock outfit, unleash their latest full-length, How I Fell in Love with the Void, a visceral and unflinching exploration of life's bleakest corners. Driven by frontman Tarek Ahmed's relentless obsession with creation and a self-deprecating wit, this album delves deeper into the societal ills and personal struggles that have defined their output since 2013. From the jaded introspection of "Another Song About the Sun" to the searing commentary on disenfranchisement in "Family Suicide Gun," How I Fell in Love with the Void is a raw, unvarnished look at the emptiness many attempt to fill, and the ultimate liberation found in accepting that void.
HYENA (BE) (Noise Rock / Post Punk)
he unchanneled blackened noise of a four-string guitar driven by ritual drum patterns, buzzing synths and disturbing samples. HYENA is a two-member powerhouse, a new Belgian band embracing the raw essence of sound.
Hyena’s sonic assault blends elements of punk, noise and experimental rock. With excessive discomfort and repetitive dissonance, the band’s compositions invite us to confront the unconventional, to explore the darkness head-on and to celebrate both the anxious outcast and the prowling predator lurking in all of us.
FIONA (BE) (Sludge / Shoegaze)
We're Fiona, and we make music. We go for a mix of sludge, post-hardcore, post-metal and shoegaze driven by an elegant combination of things that drive us such as attention problems, whether or not aesthetic-responsible anger, catatonic paranoia and a messiah complex.
