INTERCONNECTION is back for one last offering before taking an intentional pause. For those of you new to the series, INTERCONNECTION is an intentional dance experience. We ask that all those who attend come with the willingness to focus their attention on the music, the environment, and the present moment. To be in the moment, allowing their bodies to express themselves however the music calls them to.### **INTERCONNECTION is an alcohol free space. No alcohol is allowed on the premises.**
We are fortunate to have the incredible Sunlit Sound as our home for this series. With a state-of-the-art, custom-built sound system and custom lighting system, Kali & Lily of Sunlit Sound have created the ultimate environment for a highly immersive, deeply connective dance experience.
### And for our musical tour guide for this final installment, we have none other than the OG **Titonton Duvante**!
If you are part of the local underground house & techno scene, our DJ for this experience needs no introduction. For those of you who are not already familiar with Titonton, I am so excited to have the privilege of introducing you to him! Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Titonton has been producing his own music since 1990, DJing since 1993, and had his first vinyl release in 1995. He has released music on some of the world's most renowned record labels and has played festivals and nightclubs globally, in cities such as Bangkok, Beijing, Berlin, Chicago, Detroit, London, Mexico City, New York, Paris, Reykjavik, São Paulo, Tokyo, and beyond. To say this man is a legend is an understatement!
But it’s not just Titonton’s extremely impressive resume in this industry that made me choose him for INTERCONNECTION. Titonton was chosen because of how it feels to be on a dance floor he has at his fingertips _(and sometimes his elbows…IYKYK_). I don’t know how to describe Titonton as a DJ in a technical sense, but I can describe him from a felt sense. In my opinion, Titonton’s sound cannot be defined by any genre or list of technical terms, because he plays from his body and soul. This means Titonton’s sound is uniquely his and expands beyond the bounds of technical jargon. When he is behind the decks, you can both see his deep emotional connection to the music and feel that connection in your body as you’re dancing. Titonton clearly understands that this music can be deeply emotional, powerful, and healing. And that is why he was intentionally selected to play at INTERCONNECTION. His relationship with music is intertwined with his body, and as a dancer, that means his deep connection can take you somewhere deep inside yourself..._should you allow yourself to follow where he can guide you._
\*Something else worthy of noting: in late 2022, Titonton made a conscious choice to DJ sober, and it is even in his DJ rider. (Mad respect for that man!) As an alcohol-free dance space, this alignment did not go unnoticed.
It is truly an honor and a privilege to have this opportunity to co-create a dance space with Titonton. It is literally something I’ve only ever dreamt of, and I am so extremely grateful that he felt aligned with the vision of INTERCONNECTION. We are so excited to provide this gift to all of you, and are sure this will absolutely be a night for the books!
