Interactive Fashion, Beauty, Wedding and Portrait Workshop

Summary of the event

We are excited to present an excting hands on workshop featuring the best in Fashion, Wedding and Portrait photography and featuring the Power of the Profoto B10X and B10X Plus. Join us at Neighbourhood Studios for a hands-on experience perfect for aspiring photographers. Learn the ins and outs of capturing stunning images alongside your fellow photographers. Our expert instructors, including world renowned fasion and beauty photographer Lindsay Adler (featured header image); will guide you through techniques, lighting tips, and posing tricks to elevate your photography game. Don't miss this opportunity to hone your skills and network with fellow creatives.

The workshop participants will be broken up into even groups, and as the day progresses you will be challenged with 4 different lighting scenarios featuring Wedding and Portrait, Lifestyle and Fashion and Beauty. Each lighting scenario will feature a mentor, each with a unique style and your group will have time to plan, set up, and photograph a model.

At the end of the workshop each group will submit their best images taken thorughout the day and the winning team will be receive some exciting prizes.

Event Agenda

The day will start at 10:00AM and end at 4:30PM. A full agenda of the days events will be presented closer to the day of the event and you will be given a schedule and group information during the event.

Group Leaders

We are looking for 5 group leaders who can take charge of their group as well as bringing their own laptop for minor editing purposes of the images taken during the day.

Team Leaders will drive their team to success by helping their group stick to the schedule, work through shooting challenges and present the best images taken from each set up.

As a thank you to those who volunteer as group leaders will automatically give you free entrance to the event.

Gear

You can bring your own camera. However, we will have the option to borrow cameras(with photo ID and credit card) from Canon Canada and Sony Canada. We will also provide the SD cards for the cameras in order to store the pictures that will be taken throughout the day.

Q&A, Snacks, and Announcement of prize winners

• Sandwiches, snacks including veg options and soft drinks along with water, coffee and tea will be provided throughout the day in the cafe area. Please read below terms and conditions for liability waiver.

• By participating in this, you will have chance to win prize at the end of the evening. The best photo will be selected by the featured photographers and the Profoto team.

Terms and Conditions

1. By signing up, you are agreeing to enter into the prize draw hosted by Profoto North America and you are hereby agreeing that you authorize Profoto North America to send promotional materials, news and newsletters about Profoto products and services. You can withdraw from the email listings at any time by simply sending an email to [email protected] or click the unsubscribe button on the emails.

2. The prize will be announced immediately after the event and the winners must be present to claim the prizes.

4. No purchase necessary to participate in this competition.

5. The decision of the winning is final and are under absolute discretion of Profoto North America and photographers.

6. Employees from Profoto North America and Profoto authorized resellers, cannot participate in this competition.

7. Light snacks will be provided and we cannot guarantee if the food has been cooked in an environment where allergens may be present, therefore, by signing up for this event, you are waiving your rights and understand the organizer does not hold responsible in case of allergic reactions or other complaints or issues. By signing up for this event, you also confirm that you acknowledge that Profoto North America Ltd. will not be liable in case of any complaint or legal actions undertaken by the attendees. If you disagree of any of terms and condition, you reserve a right to cancel your attendance. If you have any allergies, we advise that you consume the food at your own risk with no liability towards Profoto North America Ltd. If you have any concerns, you are welcome to contact us.

8. If an attendee does not agree or approve above terms and conditions, an attendee reserve right to cancel their attendance. If an attendee checks in at the event, we will assume that you agree with all above.

9. The Photographer / Attendee acknowledges that the photographs taken during the event are for non- commercial use only. Commercial usage in both online and offline (i.e., advertising, print sales, exhibitions, etc.) of these photos is strictly prohibited unless arrangements have been made with the model agency.

10. Profoto North America Ltd. and the event management cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage from any cause whatsoever to Hats, Coats, Umbrellas, or other articles left unattended on these premises.

11. Profoto North America will not tolerate disorderly behaviour and participants with disorderly behaviour will be evicted with full discretion of Profoto North America.

Lindsay Adler

Fashion and beauty photographer Lindsay Adler has risen to the top of her industry as both a photographer and educator. Based in New York City, her fashion editorials have appeared in numerous publications including Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vanity Fair.

As a photographic educator, she is one of the most sought-after speakers internationally. An author of 5 books, she is a Canon Explorer of Lighting and Profoto Legend of Light.

Lindsay’s energy and enthusiastic teaching style showcase her excitement to share her passion and knowledge with others, whether it is world-wide through prestigious platforms and the industry's largest conferences, or through her video tutorials or her five books.

Raph Nogal

Raph Nogal is a professional photographer established in 2009 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Raph is considered a well-rounded photographer, shooting portraits, headshots, products and weddings. Raph’s style can be best described as a fusion between photojournalism and art-focused editorial photography. Best known for his creative off-camera lighting approach, Raph is an active photographer, educator & speaker.

After 17 years in the field she is sought after for her lighting on skin, hair and the body and ability to capture the rawness of the human spirit.

Yadu is a Professional Fashion/Portrait Photographer since 2009. Yadu is based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

He is also an educator of photography and lighting for the past 7 years, leading workshops, photo walks, and teaching one on one with other pro photographers. Recently re-entering into the world of Wedding Photography his style definitely has his fashion flair look to it.

Yadu is a lover of all types of photography and when he’s not working at photography, he also enjoys doing photography and retouching as a hobby. He also loves the learning process and absorbs as much photographic knowledge as he can.
