About this Event
Learn how to design better SuDS and better places, from award-winning pioneers and recognised leaders in the field of SuDS.
This in-person masterclass dives right into how to adopt design approaches that will enable you to unlock the potential of integrated SuDS design on any project, no matter how challenging. These approaches consistently lead to better landscapes and developments that deliver more benefits for people, wildlife and the wider environment, more layers of meaning and more design fulfilment, as well as being more functionally effective, robust, cost-effective and easy to maintain.
By demystifying the hydraulic modelling and introducing techniques that allow you to easily design with and understand ‘the volumes’ as building blocks in your designs, you will learn to design SuDS more creatively, flexibly and intuitively – like playing with water flow on the beach!
We’ll explore the many guises and applications of the range of SuDS techniques and give guidance on how to choose which are appropriate where.
Together we’ll do some practical workshop exercises to apply what we’re learning through the day, and explore the added value that reuniting rain positively with landscapes can bring.
AND, we’ll empower you to challenge some of the blockages and barriers that get put in front of you in your projects.
Our aim: to inspire, educate and empower.
