About this Event
About the Course
Reproduce a traditional printmaking process that dates back to the 16th century, using modern, non-toxic methods.
Taking inspiration from works by historical and contemporary artists (Goya, Paula Rego, David Hockney, Sol le Witt, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye), you will learn how zinc can be prepared, treated and worked to reproduce fine detailed line work prints with a unique quality and aesthetic.
You will leave with your own unique series of prints, and an etching plate that can be used again.

Ellen Burroughs is an artist and printmaker. Ellen works at the University of Leeds and Kingston School of Art, and runs Lutra Studio for artist research and editions.
She holds a Masters in Print from the Royal College of Art and received the Stanley Picker Tutorship award in 2022.
