The Ojai Valley Fire Safe Council invites you to the third installment of our property insurance panel series, exploring innovative solutions to California's growing insurance crisis and what communities can do to help shape a more resilient future.
As the limitations of the traditional private, for-profit insurance model become increasingly apparent, it's time to explore new possibilities. Could community-based insurance alternatives, public-private partnerships, and innovative financing models offer a more sustainable path forward?
This panel will examine how communities can take a proactive role in addressing the insurance crisis, from exploring alternative approaches to catastrophe insurance to financing large-scale, watershed-wide wildfire resilience projects that reduce risk across entire communities.
