A service of installation to celebrate the new ministers at First Parish Brewster Unitarian Universalist!The Act of Installation is a joyous and uplifting experience that honors the commitments made between new ministers and the congregation they serve. Rev. Julia and Rev. Scot came to the Cape a year ago -- and now, we're acknowledging and celebrating our mutual goals of growth, care, and love in an exciting new chapter of the history of this historic congregation.
The celebration is filled with music, inspiring words, and community. And after, there will be food!
For more than 325 years, people have gathered at First Parish in Brewster to ask life’s biggest questions—and over that time, our answers have changed dramatically. Once a Puritan meetinghouse, today we are a Unitarian Universalist congregation grounded in a simple conviction: we do not have to believe alike to belong together. Religious refugees and lifelong Unitarian Universalists, atheists and believers, spiritual seekers and committed activists all bring something vital to this community. Here, we draw wisdom from all the world's religious traditions, balanced with the insights of reason, science, conscience, and lived experience as we open hearts, grow souls, and turn love into justice. Your questions, your convictions, your doubts, and your hopes are all welcome here.
