The people of Good Shepherd invite you to a service of Choral Evensong on the Feast of All Saints as we officially install and induct the Rev. Elyse Gustafson as our 21st Rector. The Rt. Rev. William H. Stokes will preside.Choral Evensong is a beautiful, sung liturgy that follows the structure of Evening Prayer or Vespers. It is a foundational part of the English Choral Tradition and central to Good Shepherd’s identity as an Episcopal congregation. We can think of no better way to celebrate the start of this next chapter than with candlelight, canticles, and prayers that have been said for centuries.
The Chancel Choir will feature the music of Goldstein, Langston, McCullough, Stanford, Stopford, & Wesley.
All clergy are invited to process; Episcopal clergy please vest in choir dress.
A joyful, festive reception will follow in the Courtyard and Craig Lounge with music and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
Childcare is provided for children of all ages.
