Brooklyn’s own Ms. Divine isn’t just a poet—she’s a force of nature. Known for a style that is uniquely her own, she has brought her lyrical blend of culture and song to legendary venues like The Apollo and the Nuyorican Poets Cafe. Whether on screen for HBO and BET or live on the airwaves, Ms. Divine breathes life into every syllable, proving that her voice is truly one of a kind.
Syd is a writer currently living in Brooklyn, NY. She grew up in San Diego, CA and most recently lived in Colorado Springs, CO. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in English and American Literature at New York University. Her poetry covers a wide array of topics, but most prominently nature, queerness, family, and the mundane.
