Insect Pinning Discount Day: Beetle Edition
Join us for insect pinning workshops at community-friendly prices! Once a month, we’ll host our classic butterfly, beetle, and cicada pinning sessions back-to-back—all in one day—at a special discounted rate once a month on a Wednesday. 🪲🦋
All materials are included, and you’ll leave with your very own pinned specimen to treasure and display. This is a perfect opportunity to learn the art of insect preservation in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Cicada Pinning: 3:30 - 4:30 pm
Butterfly Pinning: 5:00 - 6:00 pm
Beetle Pinning: 6:00 - 8:00 pm
You will be able to take your artfully pinned bug home with you at the end of the class. If your class is scheduled towards the end of the day (between 6-8) we strongly encourage you to come early to enjoy your free admission to the museum, which comes with the ticket purchase.
Accessiblity note: please be aware that our classroom spaces are not wheelchair access at this time. We are happy to accomodate with an accessible classroom space for insect pinning on a case by case basis. Please email us with accessiblity needs before the class at [email protected]
Additional Note: Families are welcome! Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult. If you or your child would like to simply watch the class without participating, we’d love to have you. You can easily grab guardian/observer tickets at the front desk or online through our ticket portal.
