Ink in the Alley returns to downtown Hattiesburg for its third year on Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., bringing a full day of tattoo artistry, local art, entertainment and family-friendly fun to the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum and Historic Saenger Theater. Guests can watch tattoo artists work live on the Saenger stage or receive one themselves, shop local art and handmade goods, enjoy food and specialty drinks, and take part in unique activities throughout the day. Whether you’re looking to get some new ink or simply want to experience the atmosphere, Ink in the Alley offers something for everyone. Admission is free and open to the public.Event Activities
- Live Tattooing: 10 tattoo artists offering walk-up flash tattoos on the Saenger stage.
-Arts & Crafts Vendors: 25 local vendors featuring artwork and handmade goods.
- Fruit by the FootRace: Kids compete in three age groups to see who can finish first! Starts at 1 p.m.
- Tattoo Contest: Categories include Best American Traditional, Best Tribal, Best Anime, Best Arm/Leg Sleeve and Most Unusual Tattoo. Starts at 5 p.m.
- $1 Temporary Tattoo Mystery Door: Pick your mystery temporary tattoo for just $1.
- The Ink Collective: Help create a community art piece by adding your own artwork to the canvas.
- Hattiesburg Zoo Encounters: Enjoy surprise animal encounters and educational experiences.
