The International Network of Indigenous Health, Wellness & Development (INIHKD) is a shared waters alliance spanning Aotearoa, Australia, Canada, Hawai‘i, and the USA, and now extending into the Pacific. One of its key initiatives is convening Indigenous scholars, researchers, practitioners, creatives, and community leaders from around the world to engage in strengths-based, partnership-driven approaches to issues impacting Indigenous communities globally.
INIHKD warmly invites you to our Reclaiming Indigenous Ecologies of Love (RIEL) for Future Generations, which will be held in Rarotonga, Cook Islands, 9-13 November 2026.
Our gathering will elevate Indigenous voices and leadership to address critical health and well-being issues through three interconnected sub-themes: Indigenous Health and Healing; Environmental and Ecological Systems; Advanced Technologies and AI.
This strengths based, in-person gathering that honors the resilience, knowledge, and innovation of Indigenous peoples globally. It is a gathering grounded in love, reciprocity, and renewal, it offers a vibrant space to share what is working and what is possible when we lead with strength, connection, and care.
Your voice, research, and collective action are important contributors to a resilient and well future.
