Join the Tribal Relations Office at Central Washington University in celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day this year on October 12th.The First Peoples' Art Market will take place in the SURC from 11am to 3pm. We invite you to learn about and purchase authentic Native American beadwork, drums, jewelry, basketry, fashion, sculpture, literature, and other arts. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to support and build relationships with Plateau Region and Coast Salish artists.
Take a break from the vending booths and stop by Holmes Dining for an all-you-can-eat traditional foods lunch. On the menu is Sauteed Corn Mushrooms with Fresh Corn and Sage, Blackberry Glazed Beets, Wild Rice Pilaf with Wild Mushrooms, Chestnuts, and Dried Cranberries, Hunters' Stew with Bison, Juniper, and Wild Onions, and Huckleberry Fritters for dessert.

The CWU First Peoples' Art Market and Lunch are hosted by the Office of Tribal Relations in collaboration with an array of CWU partners including the Office of the President, the Multicultural Center, the American Indian Studies Program, Native American Student Union, Student Leadership Involvement and Community Engagement (SLICE), CWU Libraries and CWU Dining Services. This event is hosted in collaboration with the Kittitas County Historical Museum.
