About this Event
The RePlant team is co-hosting our second workshop “Indigenous Economies of Care: Food sharing, reading circles, and seed saving ” with the Native American Indigenous Student Association (NAISA) at Duke on Saturday, November 14th, 1-4pm at Duke Campus Farm’s Southeastern American Indian Garden.
This is a gathering centered around the gift economies of Native peoples with an intercultural potluck, a discussion of works by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and a seed saving demonstration.
We invite participants to bring food from your culture or homeland.

RePlant and Composting Theory have joined forces to amplify conversations in the plant humanities, and to consider, and work towards, ecological care in practice. This series is supported by the Franklin Humanities Institute, Duke’s Office of Climate and Sustainability, the Revaluing Care Lab, and the Duke Campus Farm.
