The Fire Ground is proud to offer Incident Safety Awareness for Hired Vendors (ISAHV) in cooperation with San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau training for individuals and companies providing equipment or services on wildland fire and other emergency incidents.
This course is designed to provide hired vendors with the knowledge necessary to safely operate within the Incident Command System (ICS) and the dynamic environment of an emergency incident. Students will receive instruction covering incident organization, communications, safety responsibilities, hazard recognition, emergency procedures, fireline and incident operations, and expectations for hired vendors working in support of emergency response operations.
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for hired vendors and equipment operators who provide services or equipment in support of CAL FIRE and other cooperating agencies during emergency incidents. This may include:
- Water tender operators
- Heavy equipment operators
- Dozer and transport operators
- Other hired equipment owners, operators, and vendor personnel
Course Information
This is an in-person training course. Students must attend the required course hours and successfully complete all course requirements to receive credit.
Upon successful completion, eligible students will receive the applicable course completion/certification documentation for Incident Safety Awareness for Hired Vendors.
Important: Students are responsible for providing accurate information during registration, including their State Fire Training (SFT) ID, when required for certificate processing.
Registration Fee
$195 (all in) per student, plus applicable ticketing/processing fees.
Registration includes course instruction, course materials, and required certificate processing.
