Join YWCA West Central Michigan for In Their Shoes® West Michigan, an experiential learning event designed to deepen understanding of the complex realities survivors of domestic violence may face.
Inspired by the nationally recognized In Her Shoes® program developed by the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, this experience takes a different approach to domestic violence education. Rather than simply hearing about the barriers survivors encounter, participants will be placed in realistic situations where they must make difficult decisions with limited resources and options.
Through this interactive experience, participants will gain a greater understanding of the challenges survivors navigate and the important roles our health partners, schools, law enforcement, community partners, and advocates play in creating safer communities.
