About this Event
Have you ever wanted to learn to knit, or have simply put it aside for a while, and want to get back in the loop? Join us at Urban Backyard for three Sunday afternoons of knit, textile history, and perhaps a coffee or two.
We'll learn the basics of how to cast on, knit in the round, and make cute little stems for our pumpkins. While working, we'll discuss some textile inventions that completely revolutionized our world, and quietly provide structure to most products we see today. As our last class is on the 25th, this is the perfect opportunity to refresh your fall decor, or gift your beautiful pumpkin to a loved one this holiday season.
Tickets include:
- Yarn in a pumpkiny palette to create your ideal gourd
- Circular knitting needles in size of your choice
- Custom zine that contains concepts covered in person
Can't wait to see you there!
