In the Listening Room — Series 05
The Shortlist: Records That Defined Our 2026 💿
An evening dedicated to the art of listening.
For the final In the Listening Room session of 2026, Dallas and Zach are opening up their own record collections to share the music that defined their year.
From new releases that stayed on repeat to reissues that brought long-lost records back to vinyl, this is a personal shortlist of the jazz and jazz-inspired sounds they couldn't stop listening to.
Expect spiritual jazz, deep grooves, new discoveries and old favourites. No critics' picks or algorithm recommendations here — just two music lovers sharing the records that moved them most throughout the year.
And we'd love to hear what's been on your turntable, too. Bring along your favourite record or records of 2026 and share a few sounds with the room as the evening continues.
Whether you're a dedicated collector or simply curious about discovering something new, pull up a chair, enjoy a cocktail and settle in for an evening of good music and conversation.
