In Situ: A Guided Art and Landscape Tour
Co-led by Exhibitions & Collections Manager Natalie Stone and Landscape Architect Victoria Taylor, the tour will explore sculptures from Oakville Galleries’ permanent collection alongside the garden’s design and plant life. Together, these perspectives explore the relationship between contemporary art and the living landscape, offering a new way to experience Gairloch Gardens as a cultural space.
After the tour, guests are invited inside Oakville Galleries to experience Ali Cherri’s To Fall, Patiently, marking the exhibition’s final day.

About
Natalie Stone, Oakville Galleries
Natalie Stone is a museum professional working across contemporary art, conservation, collection management, and exhibition-making. They began their career as a consulting conservator for the City of Toronto’s Public Art Collection, developing a close material understanding of artworks and the ways they are cared for in public space.
Based at Oakville Galleries, Natalie leads exhibition management and stewards the permanent collection. Their work is grounded in conservation and collections care, with a particular interest in how artworks are shaped by their environments—and how they are displayed, maintained, circulated, and experienced over time.
Victoria Taylor, VTLA
Victoria Taylor is a landscape architect and principal of VTLA, a landscape architecture studio based in Picton, Prince Edward County. Victoria brings decades of experience to the studio's private, public, and commercial work across Southeastern Ontario. As a writer, educator, gardener, artist, and curator, Victoria fosters new dialogues on designing the outdoor spaces we share. Her work as a feature writer and editorial board member for the OALA’s GROUND magazine and the CSLA’s national quarterly publication, Landscapes | Paysages, reflects her deep commitment to the broader professional landscape dialogue. Additionally, she serves on the Public Art Committee of Prince Edward County, working to enhance public spaces through public art and community involvement.

By registering for this program, participants agree to the following:
- This is a free program with donations encouraged.
- Capacity is limited to 30 participants.
- Participants must check in at the main gallery reception upon arrival. Staff will provide instructions before the guided walk begins.
- The walk takes place outdoors in Gairloch Gardens. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.
- The route includes outdoor pathways, garden terrain, and stairs, and may not be fully accessible for all visitors. Visitors with mobility concerns are encouraged to contact Oakville Galleries in advance for more information.
- The program may be delayed, paused, or cancelled in the case of heavy rain, thunderstorms, extreme weather, or unsafe conditions.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Participants are asked to be respectful of the gardens, artworks, gallery property, staff, and other visitors.
- Oakville Galleries reserves the right to refuse participation or end participation for anyone who does not follow staff instructions or program guidelines.
