Between holiday plans, shopping lists, family gatherings, end of year responsibilities, and everything else competing for your attention, your writing time can be one of the first things pushed aside.
Not this evening. ✍️
Come spend some time with people who understand what it is like to have words, stories, ideas, and creative projects bouncing around in your head.
Our Inkwell Writing Sessions are casual community writing nights for anyone who writes. You do not need to be published. You do not need to be working toward publication. You do not even need to call yourself a writer yet.
If you write, you belong at the table.
📖 What Are You Writing?
Maybe it is a novel you have been working on forever.
Maybe you are journaling, writing fan fiction, putting together a memoir, working on poetry, drafting a screenplay, creating blog posts, developing characters, building a fictional world, outlining your next story, or editing something you have already written.
Maybe you have an idea and absolutely no clue what it is going to become yet.
Bring that too.
There is no required genre, experience level, writing goal, or way to write.
Prefer a laptop? Bring it.
Love writing by hand? Grab your favorite notebook.
Write on a tablet? Perfect.
Show up with a legal pad and a pen you found in the bottom of your bag? That works too. 😄
However you write and whatever you write, you are welcome here.
🌟 What Happens at an Inkwell Writing Session?
We are not a workshop or critique group. There are no lessons, assignments, required word counts, or expectations to share what you have written.
This is simply dedicated time to show up for your creativity alongside other people doing the same.
We will have some casual conversation and check in with one another, then everyone can settle into whatever they came to accomplish.
Write.
Outline.
Edit.
Brainstorm.
Research.
Plan.
Stare at your screen while trying to convince your characters to cooperate.
It all counts. 😂
You work independently and at your own pace while enjoying the gentle accountability and creative energy that comes from having other writers around the table.
Some evenings might result in pages of new words. Others might bring one stubborn paragraph, a solved plot problem, a better understanding of your characters, or simply the satisfaction of finally opening that project again.
Progress is progress.
🍽️ Come Early and Hang Out With Us
The writing session begins at 7:00 PM, but Mandy Jo plans to arrive around 6:00 PM to grab something to eat.
You are invited to come early too!
Grab dinner, a snack, coffee, something sweet, or just a beverage and join us at the table. This is a chance to relax, chat with other writers, talk about what you are working on, and enjoy a little community before we turn our attention to our projects.
And we are meeting inside a grocery store, so finding something to eat should not exactly be a problem. 😄

We gather at the community table toward the back of the store near the bakery.
👀 Look for Mandy Jo in purple and a table of writers with laptops, notebooks, tablets, pens, snacks, and probably more than one person trying to figure out what their characters are doing.
🎒 What Should You Bring?
Bring whatever will help you spend some time with your creativity:
• Your current project, a new idea, or a completely blank page
• Laptop, tablet, notebook, journal, pen and paper, or whatever you like to write with
• Notes, research, books, or other resources you may need
• Headphones if you like a little music while you work
• A sweater or hoodie because grocery store AC does not care what month it is
• Yourself, exactly where you are in your creative journey

Our community table has 12 seats total, including Mandy Jo, so please grab your FREE RSVP if you are planning to join us.
Your RSVP helps us know who to expect and makes it easier to save enough seats at the table.
December may be busy, but you do not have to put your creativity on hold until January.
Come early if you want to eat and chat.
Stay to write, create, and spend a couple of hours with people who understand why making time for your words matters.
