About this Event
Goldwork is a luxurious form of embroidery which uses a wide variety of metal threads. In this workshop we will experiment with the different types of materials used and how they are applied to the fabric. You will make a simple goldwork butterfly using metal pearl purl as an outline. The detail of the butterfly will be created using a range of different goldwork materials including spangles, you will be free to use your own creativity to make a unique piece. Your finished butterfly will be taken home in a small embroidery hoop for display.
