About this Event
Join us in conversation with and Southwark Park Galleries Director Judith Carlton on Friday 16 October, 4-5pm, across both sites of Nolan’s solo exhibition at Lake and Dilston Galleries.
The first comprehensive solo exhibition of Irish artist Isabel Nolan's work in the UK to date, the exhibitions interconnected themes emphasise what Nolan refers to as “the fraught, exciting and unreliable nature of making connections” by seeking encounters and intimacy with cultural forces, institutions or methodologies that tell us what it means to be human.
Discussing works made over two decades, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, text and textiles, this walking in-conversation comes at a significant moment in Nolan’s career as she represents Ireland at the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
The event begins at Southwark Park Galleries, Lake Gallery, followed by a guided walk to Dilston Gallery.
This event is free and donations are encouraged. Suggested donation £3. Please book in advance.
