🎼 IMSLP Turns 20: A Benefit Gala ConcertFor 20 years, IMSLP (the Petrucci Music Library) has given musicians, students, and scholars around the world free access to the sheet music they need. This October, we’re marking that milestone with our first-ever in-person concert— a benefit gala presented in support of the newly launched Petrucci Music Foundation!
The program will feature pianists Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung, violinist Daishin Kashimoto (Concertmaster, Berlin Philharmonic), and the Balourdet Quartet, performing works by Mozart, Clara Schumann, Mendelssohn, Enescu, and Reicha. Several selections are part of the Petrucci Music Foundation’s New Editions Project— newly prepared critical editions drawn from primary sources.
Proceeds from the evening support the Petrucci Music Foundation’s mission and initiatives: preserving and expanding free access to the world’s musical heritage, for musicians everywhere.
