Improvised Backgrounds with AppliquéWhat happens when you let go of the plan and simply play with fabric?
Improvisation may sound a little daunting, but Cecilia will show you how to make it approachable, fun and freeing. You’ll create an improvised background using light, shadow, colour and composition, then add appliqué elements that bring meaning and personality to your design.
This is your chance to step outside your usual quilting habits, experiment with colour and composition, and discover where your creativity takes you. No rigid pattern. No worrying about getting it “just right.” Just play, experiment and let loose!
