Think you’re not an improviser? You’re about to find out.Improv 101 is where it all begins at the Push Comedy Theater. No acting experience. No comedy experience. No experience whatsoever required. Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to play.
Over the course of the class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Chicago-style long-form improv, including the famous “Yes, And,” how to build scenes with your scene partners, make strong character choices, listen in the moment, and turn audience suggestions into comedy.
But here’s the real secret: improv isn’t just about being funny. It’s about trusting yourself, thinking on your feet, listening to the people around you, and being willing to jump into the unknown.
And yes, you’re going to have a lot of fun doing it.
The Push Comedy Theater creates a fun, supportive environment where students can take risks, make discoveries, and probably make a few spectacular mistakes along the way.
Come find your funny. You might surprise yourself.
This is a six week class that meets every Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM starting December 1st.
Cost: $235
